Serenity place can be found not so far from the coast of the Independence Ocean. The coastal breezes usually can be felt at Serenity Point, and it makes life that much better to be in. You can travel down to the beach every weekend and catch some of the biggest waves, but things had always the same, until now.
Things are changing here at Serenity place. The breeze leaves the scent of a new beginning, and the teens and the adults are definately sensing it. Teenagers are finding dates, and adults are getting married. Kids are doing better in school, and a lot of the teens are deciding to go to the local college on the coast. We can only hope that it stays that way...

.::I’m simply arrogant it’s my specialty. ::.
Colton gazed up at the stars, his green-blue orbs reflecting the twinkling stars above. He remembered doing this with Kolette so long ago. They hardly spoke now, ever since he dropped out of High School. His parents barely noticed him too. He was just arrogant and he never used his head. He wasn’t stupid, and maybe one day he would go to college to chase a dream he hadn’t yet discovered. Maybe he’ll become a doctor or a layer. There were so many possibilities for him out there. He was just too afraid to jump. A large red star winked above him and a grin spread across his baby-like face. That’s Mars. He knew the sky fairly well, but he just couldn’t quite remember what the people who looked at stars were called. Were they called Sanitarians? Were they called Attorneys? It starts with an A. I know it.. He looked up at the winking red star again. It belonged there, but he didn’t belong anywhere.
Colton then realized the truth. He had never belonged anywhere. When he was sick, he didn’t belong in a healthy society. He was the sickly one, the runt. When Kolette was born, he was the dumb one, the boy. He wasn’t anything special. He was just a dumb boy. Was that it? Did his parents think boys were that stupid? Obviously, but wait. His dad is a man. He’s awfully smart, but he’s still a man. Colton was a boy, and too his father, it seemed he always would be. He remembered the Christmas Card his father gave him last Christmas. Don’t know how you’re doing, boy, but make sure you use your head. Why don’t you act more like your sister? Colton’s head was throbbing now, the cool crisp night air giving him breath. He stood up, looking around and then when nobody was there, he went and walked back across the field and into the alleyway near his apartment. He’d have to confront them soon, but all he wanted right now was a cool glass of water and a night on the town. He climbed the fire exit stairs and went up into his room.
As he emerged into the room, he saw the cluttered mess he had left over the week. He shook his head with shame, grabbed a dirty jacket off the floor and shrugged it on, taking a cool drink of water from the sink. He grabbed his car keys and went back outside. His red Ferrari was parked under the garage-like shelter. Colton had used up all his college money for the Ferrari and that’s one of the many reasons his sister and parents barely spoke to him. He pulled himself in and started the engine, the hum of the engine like a beautiful music piece in his ears. He looked at the street signs, wondering where he should go. Maybe I’ll just go to the steak house and eat, or something. He followed a long, winding road and soon he got to something that wasn’t the steakhouse. It was a fast food resaurant, but for whatever reason, he felt like this was a place and he needed to be here…
.:: It’s strange how right this feels right now ::.

Lavender walked into the restraunt. It was really cool here. She tucked her hair behind her ear and sat down at a table by a window. She stared up at the stars. She found Leo in the stars and winced, Leo her brother. He was really going down hill fast these days. But she never spoke to him much now. He was barely making his way through school and wasn't even going to collage anymore. She sighed and fingered her butterfly choker. She looked around the place and saw a handsome boy with striking eyes. She felt her ears get hot and she looked down at the table. He probably has a girlfriend she thought and picked up her menu. She unfolded it and looked at all their food and drinks.
hope that was good, I'll get better as it goes on.

Colton's eyes flicked over the menu, and his ears kept ringing. He often felt like his right ear was rining. You always have someone talking bad about you don't you Cole? He shook his head and then stepped out of line to think about the choices. A burger or just a shake? Definately a shake... He stepped back into line, spotting a blonde-haired girl that just walked in.
Colton ordered his shake and walked over to the girl. "Hey there sweetheart, you from around here? You look more like a country girl, the coyote's always howling at you?" He smiled charmingly and took a seat next to her. "Listen. I'm kind of depressed right now. You want to come with me on the town? Whatever you want is yours." He pulled out a large stack of money. He still had plenty of money from the $500,000 that was supposed to be for his college education. I'm not going to college in a million years!

Lavender's jaw fell slack. Oh my God! Hes talking to you! Shut your mouth! She shut her mouth like her mind ordered "I'm not supposed to talk to strangers" she replied looking out the window she sat next to. He was cute...but he could be a physco killer!

Colton noticed the girl's weird feelings and then he sat back. "Sorry, that was the wrong way to come at you like that. I'm not usually like that. My name's Colton, but you can call me Cole. What's yours? If you're still worried about me killing you or being a psyco maniac, I'll leave." He smiled charmingly, but not creepily. It was his natural smile. He hoped he wouldn't scare her off.

Lavender smiled "its fine. I'm Lavender Fairchild, but you can call me Lavi" She said reaching across to shake his hand. She wondered why he was depressed. She didn't want to pry but..."why were you depressed?" she asked, her tennese accent coming out. She blushed "sorry, I didn't mean to pry"

Colton reached out a took her hand and kissed it respectfully. "Nice to meet you Lavi." He smiled at her, happy she asked. "Well, for one, I dropped out of high school and I can't go to college, and another reason is, my family hates me. Don't worry. I wouldn't have just told you that if I thought it was rude to pry. That's a lovely Tennessee accent you got."

She blushed a bright red. "Thank you. My brother Leo is the same. I love him but..hes just out of order at the moment. Hes barely at the house anymore and my mom and dad are really going at it the wrong way" she said and ran her free hand through her blonde curls. "Do you have a sister?"

Colton smiled, taking his hand off of hers. "Well, it seems a lot of boys are like that lately. I guess we just have to get used to it. I'm sure I've heard your brother's name around, yes, I have one sibling, which is a sister. You might have heard her as the know-it-all, or even mentioned with the name 'Tyler'. I'm pretty sure they're dating, but who knows." He looked at his watch. "Well, I best be going soon," he said, taking the first sip out of his shake.

Her face fell. "Okay" she said and stood. She smiled sweetly "its was very nice to meet you Cole" she said and grabbed her bags. She walked out to her black Corvette and drove to the libery, hoping to see Cole again soon.

Colton smiled and waved. Yep, you're still as charming as ever. He continued to sit, wondering where she was going. He looked around once more just to make sure there were no more cute girls he could hit on. He laughed, drank the rest of his shake and then he too left.
