Serenity place can be found not so far from the coast of the Independence Ocean. The coastal breezes usually can be felt at Serenity Point, and it makes life that much better to be in. You can travel down to the beach every weekend and catch some of the biggest waves, but things had always the same, until now.

Things are changing here at Serenity place. The breeze leaves the scent of a new beginning, and the teens and the adults are definately sensing it. Teenagers are finding dates, and adults are getting married. Kids are doing better in school, and a lot of the teens are deciding to go to the local college on the coast. We can only hope that it stays that way...

A sudden squeal of tires shot into the golf courses parking lot. Settled across and not within the white lines was a large black car. The rims were a dark gold, and on the hood sat a large golden phoenix form. The car seemed to shake slightly, the rumble of the engine still roared to life as the driver seemed to push the gas dangerously. The hour was of late, and the noise she was causing would most likely bring attention. Realizing this herself, Lyssa slid from the wheel, her hand resting on the door as it swung open. Her cold blue eyes eyed the car before she tucked her hand back in jerked the keys out the engine. The monster seemed to die as she slipped the keys into her denim skirt pocket. Once again the female's gaze ran over the car as her fist eased forward punching the side of the mirror. The side angle shattered sending the tiny fragments into her hand. Shards fell onto the concrete below with a tiny ring of glass connecting with a hard surface.

Blood began to well up at the side of her knuckle making a descend to the ground below. The woman's reactions seemed to be slowed perhaps it was the wine she had shared with her mother before she stormed from her house. A slight haze of her eyes indicated she'd been crying, and from the way her arms seemed to clutch around her body it was apparent she wasn't in the best mental nor physical condition of her life. She knew her mother was coming for dinner, but she hoped that all would go well. It turned out her mother wanted to get rid of Molly, saying the dog was to much of a bother. How did she know? She was never at her own home, after all last time Lyssa saw her mother or father were months ago. It was no doubt she didn't like her mother already but the mention of this was absurd and she refused. Which of course led to argument between the two-as always.

Lyssa's legs seemed to tremble in the spring moist night air, tears seemed to still trail down her cheeks as she clenched her arms around her stomach. Her lips moving with a growl as she muttered her words. 'Yes, mother of the year. Wish I wasn't born again, great thing to say to you're daughter mommy dearest.' Lyssa's lips twisted in a sorrowful frown, before common sense could snap into her she was racing across the parking lot toward the large green golf course. Her legs seemed to rise and fall as she took in breath after breath, finally at the green she sunk to her knees. Dropping onto her bottom, she pressed her knees to her chest and merely watched the stars as tears continued to stream in an endless fountain of sorrow. The blood from her knuckle uncared for seemed to now drip blood down her bare legs as the moonlight eased over her flesh.

Logan’s hazel brown eyes woke from the deep slumber he was enjoying as a large screech of tires filled the quiet spring nighttime air. Who the hell would be up this late and making so much noise? He kicked himself out of bed, pulling on some dirty jeans and a blue t-shirt from the floor. He put on some socks and some shoes and he headed outside, hoping his own parents hadn’t awoken to the obnoxious noise. He crept down his stairs, down the hallway and he went outside. His truck’s keys happened into be in his jeans pocket. Lucky me… He listened as his Chevy’s engine came to life, and he stood in the car, motionless before turning on the seat-warmer and the heater. He quietly backed out of his driveway and he drove towards the golf course. He could have sworn he heard it from there. Sure enough, a large boxy black car was sitting in the parking lot, all alone. He parked several parking places away from it and took a flashlight out of his glove compartment.

His foot-steps were almost silent other than the soft noise of his feet on the cool authentic grass. He shone the light over the pond, but nothing was there. He shone by the first hole, to the ninth hole, but he couldn’t see anyone. He scanned the clearing, passing a large lump. He shone the light back onto the lump and he saw it was a person. It was definitely a female. He ran over to her, making sure she was all right. He saw at once that he knew this girl. She was Lyssa Cross. She often hung around Kolette Willows. ”Are you okay Lyssa? You have a lot of glass in your hand. I can help you if you want. Let me just run and get my first-aid kit.” He wondered how Lyssa could have gotten such a large amount of glass in her knuckles, but then he remembered the shattered mirror when he was looking in the window of the Black car. Was that Lyssa’s car?

He retrieved the first aid kit and he ran back to Lyssa. He couldn’t believe she did such a think. She wasn’t ever depressed at school, was she? He took some tweezers and he carefully pricked each piece of glass out. There had to be at least fifty shards stuck in her hand. He despoised of the shards in a zip-lock bag that he put into the trash can. He put some infection-prevention ointment on it and then he wrapped the hand. He gave her a Clorox wipe to clean herself and then he wanted some answers. He wanted to know why she had made such a noise and why she had did that to her hand. It wasn’t right and it could eventually lead to suicide, something Logan wouldn’t allow. ”Lyssa, what were you doing out here so late? Why did you do that to your hand?” Logan looked serious, much like a doctor. He had always wondered if he should be a doctor. He was fairly good at healing, but swimming and music was his stronger talents.

The first glimpse of light against her shoulder told Lyssa without a doubt that she was in fact found. The female managed herself a sorry sigh, dropping her head slightly as the padding of feet nearing reached her ears. She could only hope that it was the course keeper, but as her head rose. Sparkling blues met those of hazel brown. Her breath slipped from her throat in a high pitched squeak as she pulled her arms closer against her legs. Causing the glass to prickle deeper into her flesh as he moved closer to look her over. Frowning, she closed her eyes with a deep sigh. When he spoke so softly to her she nearly cried with anger that of all the people to appear it had to be him!? But, when he moved to go get the kit, she leaned toward him her lips parting to whisper ever so softly she doubt it could have been heard. 'Wait...'

By the time Logan returned, she was still clutching her body close to her chest. Her dazzling blues seemed sorrowful and dark instead of the normally bright cheerful eyes she normally had. Around her eyes were puffs of red, it seemed that tears had stung her eyes and the dried remains clung helplessly to her cheeks. Her gaze seemed to shutter along with her body as he removed the shards. It didn't really hurt, and she was quite fancied by the blood that coiled and seeped free. When he bound her up tightly, she used the wipe he gave her before settling her face into her hands.

'Why, did you have to find me?' She frowned softly, not meaning to hurt his feelings but she didn't want -him- of all people to see her like this. It make her look so damned weak and feeble. Raising her good uninjuried palm she set it onto his own. 'You know I didn't mean it like that right?' Snapping out her of thoughts she jerked back her hand mouthing a sorry before speaking again. 'No, I'm not okay. I never have been, and I was out here because it seems everywhere else I am starts some sort of arguement. I just don't want to anymore.' Her voice seemed hoarse as she whispered her reply bitterly. She raised her now cleaned hand, her fingers tracing over the marks. '...I...don't know why I did it.. I just got so mad, felt so..' Cutting herself off, she inched her frame forward onto her knees then finally raising to her legs. 'No, matter. I'm fine. Thanks, bye now.' She walked towards him, toward where her car was praying he wouldn't seek her out for anymore answers, she was an arms length from racing into his arms as it was.

Logan’s eyes wondered over Lyssa’s darkened features. He could have hardly guessed she was depressed by how she acted the other day. To tell the truth, Logan felt a bit attracted to all three girls. Kolette seemed like a talker, very beautiful and Lyssa seemed more shy and interested in cars. Lyssa’s car was quite Impressive, but it definitely wouldn’t be Logan’s first choice in a car. Lavender seemed sweet and quiet, and she too was beautiful. Lyssa seemed so torn now, so tattered, so… different. He wanted to know what happened so bad, and he wondered if Kolette knew about this, or anything similar to it. Maybe she could tell him something?

Logan noticed Lyssa put her face in her hands and he asked him a startling question. Why did you have to find me? Logan looked taken aback, but he didn’t say anything. Not one word. He wondered the possible meanings of that semi-rude comment. He felt her cold hand in his palm and he looked at her more directly. 'You know I didn't mean it like that right?' He nodded, still watching the depressed junior. Lyssa was so mysterious, so different, but in an unexplainable way. It wasn’t good, but it wasn’t exactly bad either. He was officially stumped. He only did stop trying to figure out Lyssa as she talked once more. [ 'No, I'm not okay. I never have been, and I was out here because it seems everywhere else I am starts some sort of arguement. I just don't want to anymore. Logan’s eyes clouded with confusion and then he looked behind him before speaking. ”I’m not going to argue with you Lyssa,” he said serenely. He pat the hand that was still in his slowly cooling hand. He smiled weakly and then murmured ”That wasn’t very smart you know. There’s a lot of infection that could of got into the cuts. You don’t know what was on the glass…” He sighed, knowing those weren’t the best words to say. ”Sorry, what I meant is, you shouldn’t have done it. You should have went to someone you trusted, you really scared me when I saw the shards in your hand. “ He looked down at the ground and he could feel her getting up, her voice ringing once more… 'No, matter. I'm fine. Thanks, bye now.' Logan got up and then watched her go. ”Wait! Can I help you with anything else?”

Lyssa's figure turned around slowly, as her mind slowly processed all that he has said. He made her want to smile to some extent. Tilting her head onto a curious angle, her blue gaze fell questioningly on him. 'I scared you with that?' Her heart seemed to quicken within the crest of her chest, as her legs slowly eased forward toward him. Her hands seemed to attempt to smooth down her skirt and top. The denim was no doubt stained with grass while her shirt was partly stained at the base of her hip.

As she slowly walked back to him, she tilted her head opposite to how she tilted it before, her stomach seemed to have a whirlwind of flutters as she stared into the oval shaped brown hazel eyes of his. Losing herself in the depths as her hands perched themselves on her hips. [”Wait! Can I help you with anything else?”] Something like a smile crossed along her lips, raising her hand, she eased the pad of her finger across his fleshy bottom lip. Her blue depths seemed almost electric, as she shook her head with a smile. 'I think you've done enough for me, Prince.'

Her fingers seemed to ease along his fleshy cheek before curving delicately around his chin then leaving his face all together. 'Well...there is one thing...' Lyssa's gaze swept down for a moment, as she brought her hand across her thigh. 'Could you maybe give me a ride home? I'm afraid, I'm not well enough to drive.' She wondered if he knew she was slightly tipsy, she sure as hell didn't say she was, but maybe he could tell anyway.

He watched her carefully. She was in fact… different than anyone else. She was more… dangerous in a way. ”Yes… You sure scared the hell out of me. I thought you pierced your heart or something.” He sighed again, thinking that this girl really needed some help. He really didn’t want her to be sitting in the golf course with her hand torn up with shards of glass in her hands. She looked nervous. He knew she couldn’t have been scared of him. He just possibly saved the girl’s life! His heart began to beat faster as she neared him and then he took a long hard 30 seconds of not breathing, but he followed her every step with his hazel brown eyes.

He swiped a long bit of hair out his eyes and then he continued to watch her. He didn’t expect her to touch him, but she did. She pressed a cold finger to his lips. He saw her shake her head in the midnight darkness. I think you’ve done enough for me, Prince… He smiled with amusement and she started movie her hand to his cheek. He felt his face blush, knowing perfectly well it would probably be bright pink. He smiled. ”Of course I can, sweetheart…” He looked around, stared at the moon for a second and then lowered his head, touching his lips to hers. He drew back quickly though and then looked at the time. He smiled at her, took her hand off his cheek and he began strolling to his truck, an amused smirk spread like a blanket across his face..

His eyes on her seemed to create a fire in her stomach, the flutter seemed to worsen as she thought of how nice is was to have those soft brown hazel almond shaped eyes on her, and only her. A faint smile seemed to etch across her lips at his comment. She didn't realize she could scare someone with her actions before, it almost made her want to think before acting from now on just to spare him from worrying about things. [”Yes… You sure scared the hell out of me. I thought you pierced your heart or something.”] Those words of his seemed to echo in her mind, making her smile softly at the thought of it all.

It was now the heat of his cheek against her palm, that set her soft baby blues on fire. She almost wanted to cling to him, but when he said he'd drive her that was almost enough for her, but his next action sent a flurry of joy through her. The smooth feel of his lips covering her own, sent a shock of electric through her veins, and before she could react he pulled away. A lazy smile seemed to crawl onto her slim lips, and when he pulled her hand from his cheek, her fingers eased into his own as she followed him. Her other hand coming up to rest on her lips praying that, the wonderful feeling never leave her.

Once she got to the truck, she offered a coy laugh. 'Oh! You were right, she's a beauty.' Her hand parted from his, to ease over the hood before settling on the door handle as she sent him a wink from the other side. Somehow that door was unlocked, perhaps he forgot? Sliding into the passenger seat, she waited until he came in before speaking. 'Hey, Logan...I know this is a weird time to ask, but would you go to the school dance with me?.. ' She attempted a smile, but turned her head so she could hide behind her honey brown tendrils.

Logan's heart was pounding in his chest now. He liked Lyssa a lot. She was behind a mask around people, and then... You saw the true Lyssa when she feels comfortable to take the mask off. His eyes lit like fire with amusement. His insides were clutching his breath, so it was uneven at times. He watched her as she grabbed his hand and started to stoll along with him.

His smile widened as she commented on his lovely truck. "Yeah. She runs nice too." She was definately different. Different than Know-it-all Kolette or quiet Lavender. She was out-going, and even more... she had a thing for cars. He smiled wickedly and then he too decided to climb into the cab of his truck. Her next words blew the hair out of him. His smile wasn't gone, but he was shocked. Who would want to go to a dance with Logan Darrel Lacrosse? Well, obviously her. Just answer the question! He smiled even wider, if possible and nodded. "I'd love to."
