Serenity place can be found not so far from the coast of the Independence Ocean. The coastal breezes usually can be felt at Serenity Point, and it makes life that much better to be in. You can travel down to the beach every weekend and catch some of the biggest waves, but things had always the same, until now.
Things are changing here at Serenity place. The breeze leaves the scent of a new beginning, and the teens and the adults are definately sensing it. Teenagers are finding dates, and adults are getting married. Kids are doing better in school, and a lot of the teens are deciding to go to the local college on the coast. We can only hope that it stays that way...

Tyler lead her towards his car, pulling his keys out of his pocket and opening her door for her. "Kristen? Yeah, why?" he asked, not sure why she would ask about her. He and Kris still hung out frequently, she was still one of his closest friends, that was the reason why she was his ex.
Once she was in the car he closed her door, walking around to the drivers side and quickly getting in so they could continue talking. Tyler started the car, turning off the radio right away before pulling out, waiting for her answer.

Kolette blushed. She smiled, but was hesitent with her answer. "Ah. I don't know. I just heard Colton talking to you and he called you my boyfriend, and it only brought up the thought that we do sort of act like a couple..." She was now blushing a lot, not looking at Tyler. She reached out to turn on the radio.
Her favorite song by Metro Station was playing. "I really like this song. I like the beginning tune, don't you?" She didn't want to stay on the girl-friend, boy-friend topic. The truth was, she was afraid that Kristen was going to take Tyler away from her. That's the main reason she didn't hang out with Kristen.

Tyler had pulled out of the parking lot and was heading towards the park, listening to her as he drove. At her comment his eyes widened a little and he glanced over at her, surprised by the comment. His gaze quickly turned back to the road as she turned on the radio.
Tyler didn't listen to what she was saying about the music, he was to busy thinking about her earlier comment. They did sometimes act like a couple, but he usually jokingly flirted with his female friends like that. Then again, he did act more like a boyfriend to Kolette rather than just playful flirting. In honesty he had never thought of her as a girlfriend, but with the thought on his mind it made a lot of sense.

The drive to the park was pretty quiet. She couldn't help but use the quiet time to think about Tyler, or the earlier comment she happened to say. She liked Tyler a lot, but maybe it wasn't right for them to date. She wouldn't even mind if they put off dating until they were thirty, when they could think about things other than school and drama. She wasn;t saying there was drama at age thirty, she just thought that maybe they were best of best buds for now.
Kolette wondered whether it would be good if she and Tyler dated. She thought about the pros and the cons. Well, he would never have to leave me... but it could also ruin our friendship. She sighed, a bit too loud, and she didn't like the quiet. She wanted to pretend that nothing except for a talk about sweat, showers and other random stuff took place. "Tyler, let's not think about that... Let's just stay friends, best friends. I still want you to come over for dinner tonight though. My mom wanted me to ask you." She smiled playfully, but frowned, wondering whether it was safe to do a playful smile because she was afraid it was flirting to him. They acted like a couple, but they weren't. They were just friends. Weren't they?

Tyler parked his car on the side of the street by the park, turning the car off and glancing over at her. He had been thinking about the possibility of them together, but then she had suggested they remain just friends. So he decided to forget the conversation, since that seemed to be what she had wanted.
He smiled at her, reaching over to brush his thumb across her cheek. "No frowning," he said, not sure why she had stopped smiling. "Of course I'll still come over for dinner, I love your mom's lasagna," he added with a grin, he was really looking forward to dinner at her place.

Kolette's face was calm, mellow and the usual attractive now. She gave a small smile, still thinking about the awkward moment that died only a few seconds ago. She laughed heartily and then she told herself to loose the tension. Her insides grew warm as Tyler brushed his thumb across her cheek, as always. She smiled wider, and then nodded. "Alright."
She watched the curb as Tyler parked and then she nodded as he spoke about how good her mother's lasagna was. "I agree. It's really good." She smiled again and then opened her door, not wanting Tyler to do it. She wouldn't want anyone to get the impression they were dating. Maybe after she was done with high school if that was the case.
